Leadership Launch

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering students in 9th grade through their first year of college to become future community leaders. We help students change their trajectory in life, and equip them to do the same for their communities.

Our motto is “Let Your Leader Out!” We use character training, educational achievement and community launch projects to teach students how to engage as leaders in their community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower, equip and engage student leaders from a place of equity.  We primarily work with first-generation college-bound students, as well as students facing significant financial or personal hardship, to achieve their full leadership potential through character training, educational achievement and community launch projects.

Leadership is the overarching goal behind every component of our program.  We believe that education can change the trajectory of young people’s lives.  However, our mission is not just to help young people earn a college degree, but to help them figure out what they want to do with their lives and how they want to make an impact as future community leaders.  We adhere to the Latin phrase non nobis solum nati sumus—not unto ourselves alone are we born.

By limiting each leadership class to five students (25 in a program), our goal is to make Leadership Launch as individualized as possible. We fully expect “leadership” to take many forms and to look different for each participant. Our goal is to support, encourage, and assist participants in achieving their full leadership potential.
